Why am I a Life Coach?
I remember it was one afternoon in 2004. During my third year of studies at Potchefstroom, visiting my parents in Pretoria, I was reading the book ‘Rich Dad, Poor Dad’ by Robert Kiyosaki. Halfway through my reading, I got an epiphany. I ran to my mother shouting, “I know what I want to be one day!!” She looked at me in confusion, and I continued ” I want to become a Motivational Speaker! My mom just smiled and nodded, because, let’s be honest, that wasn’t (and perhaps still is) even considered a ‘real’ career and you certainly cannot study for it.
But that day I knew. I had a burning desire to make others aware of a different way of thinking, a different perspective on life, and that we have tremendous inner-power. More than we realize.
That’s where my personal transformation journey started, and I am still following my dream…
If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change. – Wayne Dyer
I will not consider myself a Motivational Speaker (yet), although I do my fair share of public speaking, facilitation, and training which I thoroughly enjoy.
I love my coaching practice in Pretoria East, and see every exchange with my clients and students as an opportunity to challenge their mindset, their perspective on life, and the way they see themselves. Because, if you can change your thoughts, you can change the way you feel and you will change the way you behave, and ultimately your life.
We just need some guidance and a few tools to get us on the right track.
